September 21, 2006 11:59 PMby Kevin SchneiderRead the Cadalyst review - ased on an Intel Core Duo Processor T2600 (2.16GHz), the nw9440 mobile workstation as tested included 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM, out of a possible 4GB when fully populated with memory. The system also incorporated an 80GB 7,200RPM hard drive and an NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500M graphics controller with 256MB of GDDR3 video memory. This was Cadalyst's the first opportunity to test a Quadro FX 1500M.

Autodesk student site launched!
September 6, 2006 06:32 AMby Kevin SchneiderBeginning today, any student or faculty with a valid education email address is invited to participate in the Community. More than 6,000 students at accredited universities worldwide have already signed up as test users of the site, http://students.autodesk.com/, which delivers free downloads of Autodesk® software products for architecture, industrial design, civil engineering and mechanical engineering. Soon the site will also offer resources for students in art and animation fields of study.
