Official Autodesk Inventor Podcast Episode 38 - Hidden Shortcuts
October 6, 2009 03:36 PMby Garin Gardiner
There are some great hidden shortcuts in Inventor that many of you probably aren't aware of. Many of these shortcuts have been in the product since the early days of Inventor so they aren't tied to only newer versions of Inventor. Many of these shortcuts use the Shift, Ctrl or Alt key in carious environments. Take a look at the latest podcast and as usual, send feedback.

Official Autodesk Inventor Podcast Episode 37 - Adaptivity
August 28, 2009 12:46 PMby Garin Gardiner
Inventor has had something we call Adaptivity since day one although over the years I hear few and fewer people use it. If used correctly, Adaptivity is a great tool when you need to layout your design and don't know the exact sizes l but need to snap it together. There are some really good uses for it so I wanted to put a quick tip together of some ways you can use.

Official Autodesk Inventor Podcast Episode 34 - Inventor 2010 Preview (Layout Design and Assembly Analysis)
March 25, 2009 01:40 PMby Garin Gardiner
It's been a few weeks since I posted my first podcast around what's new in Inventor 2010. There is way too much to show in a few podcasts but I intend on having probably 4 podcasts around the main enhancements to Inventor. This episode we will discuss Layout Design and Assembly Level Analysis. I think you will find some great nuggets here and look forward to hearing what you think about the new version.
This is the second of several episodes I will post around 2010 so stayed tuned.
I have been looking forward to both sketch level layout design as well as being able to run an FEA analysis on an assembly. Great stuff but I might be a little bias

Official Autodesk Inventor Podcast Episode 33 - Inventor 2010 Preview
March 11, 2009 06:54 PMby Garin Gardiner
After my last podcast I received several emails about when I would post something for Inventor 2010. Wait no longer to get your first shot of some of the new tools for Consumer Products such as Plastic Parts, Multi Body Support and integration with Alias Studio.
This is the first of several episodes I will post around 2010 so stayed tuned.
Just because I mention these are for Consumer Products there are many great uses for these tools other than for consumer products. Multi Body can be used in almost any environment to be sure to try it out when you get your hands on it.

Official Autodesk Inventor Podcast Episode 32 is available
February 27, 2009 02:51 PMby Garin Gardiner
For Podcast 32 I had a great question from one of our long time Inventor customers (Bob from Belco Packaging) concerning adding constraints to rollers and a curved sheet metal frame. I have had similar questions in the past and there are a few tips that make this fairly easy to do. Take a look at the latest podcast for some tips on adding work geometry to curved holes as well as adding iMates to speed up the process of adding many components.
If you have a good idea for a podcast feel free to send it my way. You never know, it might just show up here one day. Thanks for Bob the great tip!Don't forget to head over to iTunes if you want to subscribe and download these automatically when a new episode is available.
