Vault for AutoCAD available on the Subscription Center
October 29, 2004 04:59 PMbyIf you use any of the latest MSD products that now come with the Vault (AutoCAD M, AutoCAD E, AIS, AIP) and you also have users creating drawings with vanilla AutoCAD 2005 you can now provide access to the Vault to your entire team.
AutoCAD 2005 customers on subscription can download and install the vault (client) on every seat of AutoCAD software they have provided they have at least one seat of Autodesk Manufacturing software (Autodesk Inventor Series 9, Autodesk Inventor Professional 9, Autodesk Mechanical 2005 or AutoCAD Electrical 2005) which includes the Autodesk Vault 3 server.

Design Accelerators (MechSoft) Available to Subscription Customers

Are you Certified?
October 17, 2004 05:35 AMbyThe program is still new ,but already there are over 120 Inventor Certified Experts in the world, are you one of them? The Autodesk Inventor® Certified Expert Program enables highly experienced users to receive special recognition for their extensive knowledge of the Autodesk Inventor® software application. A thorough hands-on and written examination is given to those who want to participate. Those who pass the exam are considered Certified Experts. This exam is intended for advanced Autodesk Inventor users who want to emphasize their skills and knowledge with official certification.
A minimum score of 80 percent is required to pass and the exam is given at authorized proctoring centers around the world. If you do not pass, you will receive a detailed report that indicates areas for improvement. You may then retake the exam at any time. You can take the exam three times a year. The cost for the exam is $495 per attempt. For a list of testing centers and other information, visit www.autodesk.com/inventorcertified. This year at Autodesk University, attendees will have the opportunity to take the exam at a major discount (US$195)

Autodesk Inventor Professional 9 SP1 Now Available
October 11, 2004 05:51 PMbyService Pack 1 for AIP has just been posted. This incorporates various updates to Tube & Pipe, Cable & Harness and the Stress Analysis functionality as well as the entire Inventor 9 Service Pack 1. You can download it here.
