  • Behind the Scenes: MFG solutions Day June 15,2004
    June 17, 2004 02:33 PMby

IMG_0490As promised here are some behind the scenes images of our Solution Day Broadcast. Thousands of people tuned in at over 150 locations around the US and Canada. As you can see from the pictures we are at a real live TV studio and we stream it out to you over the internet with just a few second delay. I think it is pretty safe to say none of us thought our interest in mechical and electrical design would lead to a TV appearance.

Check out the rest of the photos in our new photo album here.

  • Manufacturing Solutions Day- June 15
    June 11, 2004 04:57 AMby

Are you signed up for Manufacturing Solutions Day? Next Tuesday there will be over 150 simultanous events around the US hosted by our resellers. You'll get to watch a live webcast that highlights industry trends, as well as our new summer releases and have a chance to submit questions for a Q&A with the product managers.

Click here for more info and to sign up.

Next week I'll provide some behind the scenes pictures. We film this at a real TV studio and it is quite the production.. a bit intimidating for me personally - I hate to be filmed and didn't even have a video at my wedding. Last time around it was quite fun though and I am sure it will be this time too.

See you then... well at least you will see me (and Andy too.)!

  • Postcard from Decin
    June 8, 2004 12:18 PMby

IMG0052I had a fantastic meeting in Decin, CZ with the Mechsoft team. Here they are (many of them) outside their offices.

The team is really anxious to present the Inventor customers with an integrated version of their functional design tools. We had some great debates over how to make them even better when they are introduced in the Inventor Series. They know (as many people have told them) how excited our customers are to have access to their impressive productivity tools, and are hard at work.

    IMG0054

The city of Decin is a small city of about 60,000 just over the German border from Dresden in the former East Germany. It is split by the Labe River and is surrounded by rolling hills and small mountains. It has a number of classic old German style buildings, as well as its fair share of Soviet Era structures. Just like all the Eastern countries that are opening up, there is a lot of spirit of entrepreneurship, which means among other things, lots of good restaurants. Here's a shot from a nice hillside restaurant based in an old 'castle'?. You can just see the Labe in the foreground.

Looking forward to more updates from this team.

    Pete
