Inventor goes to Elementary School
September 17, 2004 02:47 PMbyWe have just released Autodesk DesignKIDS a new technology program designed for grammar and middle schools that takes students through fun project-based modules. It incorporates key math, science, technology and art learning objectives; while introducing students to the process of engineering and architecture. There is 30 hours of curriculum that teachers can customize right "out of the box"? and projects include designing paper airplanes, a bus shelter design and a skate park design. It includes Autodesk Inventor 9 and Autodesk VIZ 2005 along with a project-based curriculum CD and meets national standards to develop math and science skills as well as critical thinking and comprehension skills.
Who knows, maybe your kids will be using Inventor soon.

New Skillbuilders for AIP
September 3, 2004 04:52 PMbyTwo new skill builders have been posted for AIP- one on assigning reference designators in Cable and Harness and one on publishing parts and creating styles for Tube and Pipe.
Don't know what a skillbuilder is? Basically it's a chance to build your Invnetor skills by reviewing a focused topical discussion that includes a learning excercise.
Skillbuilders for Inventor and Inventor Professional can be found here.
