More Online Resources
February 6, 2006 02:15 PMbyThe Inventor community never ceases to amaze me. There are sites all over the world that are maintained by our users and resellers who donate their own personal time. Two more recently came to my attention:
A user forum in Italy: http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/forumdisplay.php?f=16
A new blog from Canada focused mostly on AutoCAD Electrical with a splash of Inventor: http://cadgneto.blogs.com/
Enjoy!

View Tips
February 3, 2006 10:08 PMbyDouble Click Mouse Wheel
Many of you might have already figured this out in Inventor R10 but a much desired wish-list from our AutoCAD users was a Zoom All on a double click from the mouse roller wheel. If you are in Inventor 10 you can now double tap the mouse wheel to zoom all (I don't know how I ever lived without this one).
Inventor Rotate Screensaver
Open an Inventor Assembly, Part or Presentation document and select the rotate tool. Hold down the shift key and left mouse button and drag your mouse the direction you want to spin your model. Let up on the shift key and left mouse button to continuously spin the model in the direction you rotated your model. This take a little practice to get the speed you desire but it's great to show off cool models while you are away from your computer.
Change Perspective View
Have you ever wanted to change the perspective angle while in the 3D perspective view? To change it in a Part, Assembly or Presentation view, activate the perspective view and select the zoom from the toolbar. Hold CTRL + Shift and zoom in/out to change the perspective angle. This is really nice when you are rendering in Studio and want different viewing effects.
Enjoy,
Garin

Korea's 1st Inventor User Conference
February 3, 2006 04:31 PMby
A few weeks ago a member of the Inventor team (Simon Bosley) attended the Korean Inventor User Group Meeting. They had over 500 attendees and actually had to turn people away! This was their very first national meeting - how cool is that. In the morning they had a few Autodesk presentations and the entire afternoon was dedicated to user presentations. They also had a guest appearance by the president of the Japan User Group.
