Having an AutoCAD background,  I have a little baggage and want to do some things in Inventor similar to how I did them in AutoCAD. One thing I often do when I first install Inventor is set up short cuts to often used commands. For those of you like me, below are a few steps to help you set up your keyboard shortcuts.

In Inventor select Tools > Customize then select the Keyboard tab. One shortcut I often use it to make the period key "."  as a coincident constraint in the sketcher. To do this I will  change the category to Sketch to filter out everything else. I will then select the Coincident constraint command and select to the left site to input a key.

If I select the Period key it will notify me this is already assigned to Work Points and ask me if I wan to "remove the old assignment". If I select Yes, when in a sketch and I select  ".",   it will start the coincident command. If you prefer multi-character shortcuts, you can select "Use default multi-character command Aliases" which will act more like AutoCAD shortcuts.
