Garin, I love watching watching Inventor work, but I wish you would zoom in on yourself because you are wasting space. Also, Dimensioning; 1. Not all dimensions are two (2) place. In the example you show, Episode 30, there are dimensions that are missing, not located from a validated datum point. This is an major short coming with either AutoCAD or Inventor, in my option. This has been my pet peeve I have had for 15 years. Don't get me wrong, AutoCAD has come a long way since I started. But some other points like number of places it the worst of all. Thank you for all of your time that you have put into these podcast. W. Kirk Crawford Tularosa, New Mexico

Garrin: Nice to see someone is thinking about improving one of the most important aspects of aip: the bom. The thing that concerns me is that these subscription items are not integrated into the program. The other thing that concerns me is that nobody has been able to show me how, from w/i the bom, to change the properties of the parameters that appear there, so that the numbers that are used in parameters in the bom names appear correctly. This is especially important with frame generator parts. For example: the frame generator defaults to representing a number as a decimal that's 3 places to the right of the decimal point, with the units turned on. in ALL my bom representations of part names, I use the parameters with units turned off, and fractional format. How can all of the many parts of a frame generated assembly have all the parameter properties changed from w/i the bom? Cheers ... ChrisH

Cheers Garin. I downloaded and installed the bonus tools a few weeks ago and have been impressed, especially with the improvements to the .idw environment. It's the small details that make the difference, such as aligning dimensions and balloon placement. It's good to learn about the other improvements too, so cheers for the podcast.
