Congratulations, Matt! How does it feel to be a winner?
Great! I couldn't believe I had been selected as the winner. I've been looking at purchasing a new home computer so this was obviously a rather timely surprise.
What Autodesk products do you use, and how long have you been a user?
I currently use Inventor 2009. I would say I'm going on 4 years now.
So what’s your favorite design tool?
Well there are many but I think my favorite is Inventor Studio. Having the ability to create a realistic 3D image of a design has greatly enhanced communications with customers. This tool allows anyone to participate in design reviews, no longer just engineers or draftsmen. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?
Have you tried your new laptop? If so, what’s different about it from others you’ve used?
Thus far I've used my new laptop every day. What's different about this one....... SPEED! It has easily outperformed all previously owned laptops.
Where’s the first place you go on the Manufacturing Community Site, and why?
I mostly visit the Productivity & Tips section. I've learned some pretty helpful tricks from this section.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. When you are not winning sweepstakes, what do you do?
As many can relate, work occupies a large portion of my time. I spend a few months of the year travelling to various commercial nuclear power plants for field service support during their refueling outages. While I'm not on field assignments I spend my time in the office designing tools & equipment for use in the field. I've recently become a homeowner so my "free time" is typically filled with the everyday-around-the-house projects. However, as a Western Pennsylvania native all of the above can and will be put on hold for a Steelers or Penquins game. Haha.
