My experiance with lean manufacturing is they slow down production, then create charts and graphs to make themselves look better, but spend most of there time making signs and carts. BAD IDEA...

I would say your LEAN people are doing it wrong. When done correctly, the charts will show where improvement is needed and also shows benefits after the fact.

Yes.. Lean is good. trow away what you don't need. Reduce cost. Make all efficient. Make improvement in all element in industry. Do 5S system. In 6 Month you will be LEAN.

you can't control what you don't mesure and like all tools, when allied correctly lean will boost your productivity
