In the past decade, when GfK Roper Reports asks Americans which country makes the best products, U.S.-made products have declined in popularity in value, creativity, quality, and prestige. Research indicates that opinions of U.S. products have become less positive among both Republicans and Democrats. U.S. manufacturers need to address this poor image perception by ramping up R&D.
