Editing Properties in Vault

Have you ever ran a search for something in Vault, knowing that its there somewhere? You use a Property field, perhaps an Inventor iProperty, (that will surely find the file, right?) only to discover that the file you need is not found. Files in Vault can have their Properties modified without checking them out. Right click on a file and select Edit Properties. This will walk you through a wizard to make modifications to available properties. The files will version forward and the new properties will be populated.

This is very handy for making global changes to a project (i.e. material is all 304 stainless for 100+ parts). I also like this method for adding the project number to a group of files.
