For all the Inventor users out there who occasionally use AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical or AutoCAD Electrical and are frustrated by the difference in mouse wheel zoom direction, did you know that you can change AutoCAD's zoom behavior? Simply type ZOOMWHEEL on the command line, change the value from 0 to 1 and enter. This reverses the mouse wheel zoom direction making it the same as Inventor.
Likewise, if you are new to Inventor and its zoom direction frustrates you, changing the registry setting “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion11.0\System\Preferences\Display:Viewing Command Options” from 0 to 2 reverses the mouse wheel zoom direction making it the same as AutoCAD, ACM or ACE. You will need to make the registry setting change prior to starting Inventor.
