Bio:
I work in Orlando, FL as a designer of pre-fabricated aluminum screen enclosure structures. My career as a designer was born out of my job as an installer of these
structures. I received no formal training and learned by trial and error (mostly error) to design by hand. The majority of designers in my industry design by hand (not
even AutoCAD) and of course, using the calculator and designing by hand creates an environment where human error is a common occurrence. This is why I kept asking the
question... "there has to be a better way". That led me to AutoCAD which I used for two years. AutoCAD improved my accuracy, but I was still using the
calculator about 25% of the time so I still thought that there could be something better... which led me to Inventor in March of 2006. I immediately became obsessed with
this product and wanted to learn everything I could, all at once. I finally took a formal training course which mostly covered stuff from the tutorials along with some
added tips and tricks. Since then I have come to find many unique uses for this product because I'm adapting it to fit my industry.
